A piece of test equipment specifically designed to assist with the fabrication of interface adaptors and their testing
CC
Controlling Computer, this might be a portable, desktop or rack-mounted computer
DC
Direct Current
Demobox
A piece of additional test equipment specifically designed to simulate individual line faults on a UUT for the Ncompass™ system.  It is also used to provide a quick means of confidence testing for pre-use checks on the Ncompass™ system
DMM
Digital Multi-Meter
Gold
A standard of test parameters and their associated results by which a UUT is compared during the test regime.  These results should be those of a fully serviceable item under ideal conditions
IA or ITA
Interface Adapter
Intermittence
A fault on a system which is not constant or consistent.  The term may also be applied to the behaviour of the operation of a system or component
IFD™ Technology
This is a technology linked to both the hardware of the Neural Network and the software that supports it.
Neural Networks
A set of interconnections in the form of (or similar to) the Neural pathways and synaptic interconnections of the human brain
NODES™
A software package designed specifically to allow the User to plan, design, and coordinate all the information required to build and test a UUT interface and to carry out results analysis and manipulation of data files for the IFD™ system
Node
A node is a common connection point that components within an electrical/electronic circuit all have in common
Group
An association of test point based on other parameter other than electrical commonality (as per Node).

Original Equipment Manufacturer
Shorts
Term for short circuit faults in a circuit
TP
Test Point
UUT
