The Legacy Portable version of the IFD™ Technology, called the Ncompass™ 4000, and this equipment is still supported by Copernicus Technology Ltd. It was delivered as two separate items, the Analyzer (housing a single IFD™ module), as show below on the left and then variations of a dedicated Controlling Computer (CC), as shown on the right.
The CC came with an integral monitor, mouse-pad and keyboard, and a built-in Digital Multi-Meter (DMM) from National Instruments, all pre-configured with supporting test software.
The Legacy Portable configuration is a fixed total of 256 test points, and it can be ‘daisy-chained’ with additional Portables added to increase the test point coverage.
The Legacy Portable includes a storage facility in the lid of the enclosure that may be used for storing cables and other equipment.
Owners of this legacy equipment can contact Copernicus Technology Ltd for a quote to upgrade their existing equipment to the newer VIFD™.
