Example Two

Several items of electrical equipment have been manufactured on a production line, but continued quality monitoring is required before the items are dispatched.

 

The testing solution would involve using the NODES™ facility to design and create an ITA to connection of the IFD™ TE to the items of equipment.  A known, fully serviceable example can initially be tested by utilising the Continuity facility to create a ‘Gold' standard for the equipment this testing regimes.  Once bench-marked, this would enable further production items to be compared with the ‘Gold' standard to provide feedback comparison data for quality control or rejection/correction of items failing to make the acceptable grade.  In addition, an Intermittency test would also be added to this product assurance methodology, to ensure that the items are free from intermittency.  This might also include some environmental stimulation as part of the test.
