Test ResultsThe test results collected by the IFD™ TE can be used to guide the User toward the specific circuit item, connection or electrical conductor that is at fault, or that is exhibiting problems that could be correlated to the UUT under operation. The test time for the IFD™ TE is relatively quick and generally longer if using a bespoke environmental chamber and defined environmental stimulus profile/s. Test time can be reduced significantly with the advanced feature of the Intermittence tests, with the ability to start performing secondary testing on a specific Test Point (that may have shown to have an intermittent fault) while the Intermittence testing on the other test points in the UUT continues.
It should be noted that the UUT should always be RE-TESTED to ascertain the integrity of the UUT following any repair. Following the re-test, the UUT must then undergo a full functional check in accordance with the OEM guidelines to certify its serviceability.
NODES™ can be used to import the results from all tests under taken and they can then be used to trend by serial number or by UUT. All results from all tests are saved as csv and held in the \NODES_CordData\TestPrograms\datasetName\uutName, including any captured events that are carried out during testing.
As outlined in Example Two, the test results can also be utilised for quality control, maintenance procedure standards or as a history log for changes in production techniques or manufacturing processes; a facility offered by NODES™.
