UUT GraphicsEach UUT has 4 graphics that can be assigned to it by the User via the UUT Add/Edit form. All graphic files have to be valid graphic images as either .PNG or .GIF or .JPG or .BMP file formats; .PNG is the most preferred format as it lossless compression allows high resolution pictures to be used which take up relatively little space. For displaying the graphics, the ideal aspect ratio is 10:7. These graphic files are linked to the UUT and displayed, when required, by NODES™ as appropriate.
Of the 4 graphics, the GXY graphic has to be a valid Portable Network Graphic (PNG) or Windows Bitmap format. The GXY graphic is used by referencing the pixels within the graphic and thus the programs are able to move objects or drawing directly on to the GXY to create visual effects during TP creation, testing, demo, replay and reports. The clearer and more detailed the graphic, the better the effects that are displayed. The maximum size of the GXY graphic is 4K format (this may be extended in future updates - contact Copernicus Technology Ltd for further information); users should aim to use PNG as the recommended format because its smaller lossless format and thus this vastly improves system performance. Users can create these graphical images using Windows Paint or other programs and they can then be linked to the UUT using the UUT Add/Edit form. All graphical files must be assigned to the correct folder as per the details listed NODES™ Folder Structure.
Graphic files are not embedded into any of the software applications, and therefore, they have to remain in the relative folder for NODES™ to locate them. The User can select graphics from anywhere on the system, and then will be given the option to copy these to the correct folders within NODES™. These Graphics are used either as part of the testing process, as part of the reporting of the test result or as reference for the User to identify the UUT easily, if a graphics files cannot be found, is corrupted or invalid, then the default graphics will be use instead. For more information on the naming and location of the default graphics go to NODES™ Folder Structure.
