Legacy Folder Structure

The traditional Ncompass™ software is generally located in the C:\Ncompass or C:\IFDIS folder and it is home to all the executable, job file (batch files), and DLLs.  This folder must remain in the root directory and its contents must remain in tact at all times.

All test files for Ncompass™, including the results are held in this sub-folder.  This folder name can not be moved or renamed.  Folders within \TestPrograms are reference by Ncompass™ and should be left in tact; folders and files can be copied for archiving and backup, but if they are renamed, moved or altered, then they may be ignored by the various software functions.
Test files are written to folder names that reflect the Dataset being used and the Map Name of the UUT, and this is then located in a folder structure under \TestPrograms, as per the example above ie \TestPrograms\Default\DEMOBOX where Default is the Dataset and DEMOBOX is the UUT.   It is essential that no spaces or reserved system symbols are used in the folder names.

Ncompass™ software use this folder structure (NODES™ has since employed it own folder structure and is not reliant on this folder for any files or storage).  All files created by either program are interchangeable but it is preferred that they are not moved around without using the NODES™ file management software.  DO NOT change, delete or move files or folders without understanding the implications.
