This topic highlights the areas a User should be familiar with if they are operating a Legacy Portable product. The following equipment is needed in order to set up the Ncompass™ 4000 prior to use.
Both the Ncompass™ Analyzer and the CC's power supplies are auto-ranging for power grids of 100-240Volt AC, 2A 50/60 Hz.
Ncompass™ Analyzer
The Ncompass™ 4000 Intermittent Fault Detector and Isolator.
37-pin Male D-sub connector cable to interlink the Ncompass and CC. There are two 37-pin or 68-pin (depending on model) female D-sub on the Ncompass™ Analyzer which allows daisy chaining of Analyzers if more test points are required. This cable interconnect should not exceed 2m (6ft) in length.
BNC connectors to connect external test equipment to the Ncompass™ Analyzer; there may be an high-grade connector at the position BNC-2 which was an optional extra.
IEC power cable (supplied) is a filtered cable to protect against mains power surge – always use a suitable Surge Protection IEC mains cable for both the Ncompass™ Analyzer and the CC.
