SSTDRThis point to point testing mode allows the User to see determine the distance to an open or closed state on a pair of Test Points. Usually the pair of test points would be selected as a uniformed run in a cable harness, such as twisted pair or coaxial cable. However, pairs of test point can be selected in an adhoc fashion and the SSTDR used to characterise the selected pair and the state of the cables under test ie Open/Closed.
The SSTDR application will chart the output in a graphical format and, if a 'gold' is available from a previous test, provide an indication as to where the change is in relation to the 'gold', a distance and the state change. All tests can be saved as a new Test Profile or existing Test Profiles updated. All results are saved in csv or captured in pdf format for future post-test analysis.
