Example One

A piece of equipment has been failing to function correctly during normal operation.  The equipment has been replaced, but it still fails to operate correctly and now the interconnecting loom to the equipment is suspected of having an intermittent fault.

The testing solution would involve using the NODES™ facility to design and create an ITA to allow the connection of the IFD™ TE to each end of the interconnecting loom.  The User would then carry out a simple Continuity test to confirm sense of connection and to capture the ohmic values of the interconnects.  This testing of the loom using the Intermittence testing methods would then be used to isolate the intermittent fault.  Once isolated, other testing functions, depending on the results of the previous tests, would then be used to determine more about the fault, ie the User might use LogScope™ to ascertain the stability of particular test points which have been previously highlighted as faulty by the Intermittence test.
