Received Window
1. Received Window
Data received from the connected COM Port.  Use buttons Clear, Save to file and Copy to the clipboard the data shown in the Received window.

Transmit Window

Designated field to send data onto the connected COM Port.  Use the Send to send the entry, Send and Clear to send and clear the field, and Break to send a break condition to the COM Port.

Data transmitted to the COM Port, either automatically by the host application, or manually using the Transmit Window.  Use buttons Clear, Save to file and Copy to the clipboard the data shown in the Received window.
Addition buttons Hide to make the monitor invisible or Close to close the monitor and the associated COM Port.

To setup the COM Port, Open/Close COM Port, see COM Port Settings Band.

COM Port Status
5. COM Port Status
Status Bar shows the COM Port connected, the Read and Write bytes since the COM Port was opened.
If appropriate, the Status Bar will also show CTS (Clear to Send), DSR (Data Send Ready) , Ring and RLSD (Receive Line Signal Detect) status.
