SPIDER™
The SPIDER™ comes in the form of two parts, the hardware and the software. The SPIDER hardware is a dedicated micro-processing module designed for the purpose of monitoring and data-logging voltage, temperature and humidity of IFD™ TE; additional features also include the control of specific instrumentation, Smart ITA, the control of the NODES™ applications, and the holding of system data for reference and configuration and control. Supplied as standard in the VIFD™, SPIDER controls the Power Up and Powering Down of VIFD™. The SPIDER software is delivered as part of the VIFD™ fit. SPIDER can operate without the hardware and as such would provide the control of the NODES™ applications, and the holding of system data for reference and configuration and control.
SPIDER™'s feature are as follows:
Ø Quick system status under the Device NavBand; also it provides information on the hardware and software.
Ø System:

Shows the CC's Hardware Status

Shows the IFD™ TE System Configuration and it also provides the installers with the ability to add/edit Configuration data
Ø Mission Control - provides a method of controlling the position of each of the NODES™ applications, and save user configurations as profiles.
Ø Shutdown - provides a means to shutdown the CC; this first carries out a check to ensure that no IFD™ related test are being conducted.
