Once the IA has been made, a test of the pin-to-pin terminations can be carried out as follows:
1. Connect the IA to the BoB MKII and attach a probe to the Test Probe connector on the BoB MKII as show in the figure below:
2. Cross connection/shorts can also be identified by testing each of the connections on the UUT. The only LED/s that should illuminate are those that specific connector should be connected to.
3. With the power switch in the ‘OFF’ position, additional continuity/capacitive tests can be carried out on partially constructed or complete IA by utilising a multi-meter connected to any of the 50 test points on the BoB MKII facia panel and the new cable as required, as illustrated below.
Under NO circumstances should Insulation tests be carried out on any IA or cable assembly that is connected to the BoB MKII
