Other Applications

There are two other applications for the BoB MKII as follows:

 

 

1.     It can be used to connect and use other test equipment to the UUT by using the same IA made for the Ncompass™ Analyzer.  For example, the Ncompass™ Analyzer would be used to detect the TPs that exhibit intermittent faults.  Once that had been established, the BoB MKII can then be used to connect a TDR or SSTDR to the UUT to further narrow down the root cause of the fault.

 

 

Using these methods assumes that the faults is a slow transiting or hard fault, as fast intermittent faults are extremely hard to detect using these techniques.

 

 

2.     It can be used to connect directly to the Ncompass™ Analyzer for carrying out calibration or performance tests of the Analyzer.  This should only be carried out by the Authorised Distributor or by a qualified technician authorised to do so by the Distributor.
